Hello and salaam everyone!
I’ve not had a chance to post much lately as I have been busy, but not too busy for 30 day shred!
Alhamdulillah I completed it on Friday, so proud of myself as I haven’t stuck to an exercise programme ever! Like I said in an earlier post, I need routine.
So…results:
I definitely recommend Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred if you want to kickstart your exercise/weight loss journey, or if you have hit a plateau like I did and you need to get past it. It is hard work but so worth it!
Things that you should know:
I started Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 today! It seemed like the natural progression from her 30 Day Shred. It is difficult also but I thought it was fun.
Let’s see how it goes!
As a bzzagent, I got the chance to try Kerry LowLow Snack Packs for free.
Really yummy little snack and great if like me, you’re counting your calories. It is satisfying as a snack or as a side for my lunch, and surprisingly full of flavour!
My favourite is Red Pepper and Onion Chutney!
Below was my lunch after my 30 day shred workout:
Salaam and hello!
So I completed the first 10 days (Level 1) of 30 day shred and started Level 2 today!
Wow did I sweat! I was actually quite worried before starting Level 2 as I’ve been reading around on forums and others have said that they found Level 2 so much harder than Level 1! However for me it wasn’t as difficult as I expected, it was almost fun dare I say?! I sweated loads which is good.
In terms of weight loss, I lost the pound that I gained, and was hoping I had lost more, but I read the following article which makes me feel better about lack of weight loss when starting a new exercise routine.
I do feel stronger and have more energy.
Anyway, I will keep posting my progress inshaAllah.
Salaam and hello!
So I managed to complete 6 days of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred today, thank God!
As I mentioned in my previous post, my arm muscles were really sore, but by the end of day three, the pain was gone. The workout was easier today than the other days. It’s my rest day tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the 30 day shred on Sunday, inshaAllah i’ll be stronger.
In terms of weight and measurements, I’ve put on a pound lol and measurements are the same. This could be due to water retention. I’m not gonna stress anyway, just gonna keep going…I’m the type of person who keeps hold of every ounce of fat until the last minute so I’m not expecting immediate results!
So I’ve done two days of Level 1 of 30 day shred. Right now I just feel sore, my thighs are aching and I’ve had to put some deep heat lotion on my arms cuz they hurt so much! Worked up a sweat.
However, I feel good and determined to carry on. Today is day 3. My plan is to do 6 days and take a rest on Saturday. I have read that Jillian advises to take plenty of rest days in between.
I believe I would have struggled much more, but before Ramadan and once after I followed workouts from Fitness Blender on YouTube, which helped to build my endurance I think. I need to follow a routine otherwise I give up, so hopefully 30 day shred is better for me for now.
Trying to lose weight is not easy when you’ve had four children and your body is tired! Oh how I miss the metabolism of my younger days!
I’ve been logging my calories on My Fitness Pal for a while, which is really useful and helped with my weight loss. However I’ve been at a looong plateau, so thought I would have a go at Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to give things a bit of a boost. Starting today, using the videos on YouTube:
Will post my progress insha Allah!
